Johnson: I would have gone crazy if I scored anywhere else

Glen Johnson said the Premier League's unpredictability makes it one of the best in the world after Liverpool came from behind to beat West Ham.

The Liverpool right-back grew up at the Hammers and refused to celebrate after he opened the scoring with a belter in the 3-2 win.

He said: "I knew from the beginning that if I scored I was not going to celebrate. I spent the longest part of my young career here, I've got a lot of love for the club and the fans so I try not to celebrate.

"It was a nice strike I got behind it well. As soon as I hit it, I thought this has got a chance. Any other ground and I would have gone crazy."

Despite Johnson's opener the Reds went 2-1 down before ex-Hammers boys Joe Cole and Jonjo Shelvey rescued all three points and gave Liverpool their first back-to-back wins in a year.

The full-back added: "You can play anyone and anyone can beat anyone these days. So you have to be on top of your game and that’s probably why it’s one of the best leagues in the world.

"Everyone can beat anyone and no one knows and no one can guess what will happen.
