Fergie eyes Europa glory

Sir Alex Ferguson is determinded to add the Europa League trophy to his collection.

Manchester United face Ajax in Holland for their Round of 32 first leg clash on Thursday evening. It will be United's first appearance in the competition since 1995, following their Champions League exit.

However, Ferguson isn't taking the Europa League lightly and is aiming to win the tournament for the first time.

"Winning a European trophy is significant," said Ferguson. "I feel good about it - it is a tournament we will try and win. There's a final in Romania. I want to be there and they (the players) want to be there and so do our supporters.

"Players are coming back and we can combine the Premier League and Europa League with the number of players available."

Like United, Ajax are more accustomed to the Champions League and Ferguson is aware of the threat the Dutch side pose. "We must respect all our opposition," he said. "We had that lesson from Basel this season.

"Whichever team you play in the Europa League, they are capable of producing players. I worry about Ajax's history more than I do any particular players. I respect that
