Brazil midfielder Ganso has indicated that he now plans to remain at Santos.
Ganso, 22, had looked set for a transfer, with his representative, Delcir Sonda, telling Radio Estadao ESPN earlier this month that the player would not make any further appearances for the club.
Several clubs in Europe were monitoring his situation, and ESPN understands several clubs in England have expressed an interest in the player, but Ganso wrote on Twitter that he had not asked to leave Santos and he has now suggested he plans to remain at the club.
"I heard a lot of things that were not correct," Ganso, currently with the Brazil squad at the Olympics, told a press conference. "Twitter was just a way for me to show to everyone what I was thinking and feeling.
"Today, my future is at Santos. I have a contract until 2015, and right now I am focused on winning the gold at the Olympic Games for the Selecao."
