Roma confirm €11.5m Destro capture

Highly rated Italy Under-21 striker Mattia Destro has completed his move from Genoa to Roma.



Destro, 21, will initially join the Giallorossi on loan for a fee of €11.5 million - with an option to make the move permanent next summer for an additional €4.5 million.



The forward confirmed last week that he had agreed to join Roma and the final details of the transfer have now been agreed, with two of the capital club's promising youngsters, Giammario Piscitella and Valerio Verre, heading to Genoa as part of the deal.



A statement on Roma's official website read: "Roma announces that it has signed an agreement with Genoa to acquire the temporary playing rights of Mattia Destro, for a fee of €11.5 million.



"The agreement, filed today at the offices of the Lega Serie A, also includes the right of option to purchase the player outright, from the 2013-14 season, for a fee of €4.5 million.



"With the club, Destro has signed a contract for five years, expiring on June 30, 2017. In the same operation there has also been signed with Genoa the agreement to sell outright, with a co-ownership agreement, the rights to Giammario Piscitella and Valerio Verre, with a net consideration of €1.5 million for each player, for a total equity of €3 million."



Destro, who was a youth team player at Inter Milan before joining Genoa, impressed on loan at Siena during the 2011-12 season when scoring 12 goals.
