Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Liam Palmer has joined Tranmere on loan.
The 20-year-old has signed a loan deal with the Merseysiders that will run until January 2013.
Palmer, a product of the Owls' academy, burst on to the scene at Hillsborough during the 2010/11 campaign when he made his debut in the League Cup clash against Bury and going on to make 11 first-team appearances that season.
He made a further 20 appearances for the Owls during the 2011/12 campaign and scored his first goal for the club in the 3-1 home win over MK Dons in September last year.
