Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is ready to try and solve his lack of goals by making a move for Spurs striker Jermain Defoe.
Defoe has been on the edge of a regular first team spot at Tottenham and with Euro 2012 on it's way he wants to be a regular starter and Dalglish is looking to take advantage of that and bring him to Anfield for £10m.
Harry Redknapp will be very reluctant to sell, especially to a Premier League club pushing for a Champions League place, but he himself has been linked with a move for Marseille's Loic Remy.
If he were to land him then that would push Defoe further down the pecking order and possibly to a point where he wants to leave.
Dalglish is desperate to add to his fire power after drawing a blank again on Saturday when they failed to find the net past Stoke.
